This natural sanctuary is located in the Andes mountain range,
1 hour from Santiago. It is a typical Andean valley, with
impressive summits and eternal hanging glaciers. Here you can find
an ecosystem dominated by scrub vegetation, that holds a diverse
fauna of mammals, birds and reptiles. You will enjoy the
incredible views inside of the valley, which is crossed by the
beautiful Yerba Loca river.
The puma, the El Puma, the bobcat, and the culpeo fox, are the
main predators here. It is also possible to observe a great
variety of raptors, among which we can mention the condor, the
eagle and the hawks. Besides you can watch one of the
smallest birds in the world, the cordilleran hummingbird.
